Shore Fishing on Skye and Lochalsh
Waternish point is final tip of the Waternish peninsula. Walking there is realatively straightforward as the path is regularly used by quad bikes and walkers. Directly out from the lighthouse you are fishing in reasonably deep water and there are a number of areas easily accessible to the water.

Expect to pick up multitudes of Pollack using usual methods year round off the point. Fish dont seem to be as big as other places on the island but this is just personal opinion. Fishing on the bottom tends to be ok here as there doesnt appear to be many snags. Ling are present in good numbers along with the usual dogfish and occassional Conger. Spurdog and Wrasse appear during the summer months and there is a chance of Cod during the winter.
